The second-hand marketplace Members Express Frustration About Size Modifications
Shoppers are voicing their frustration following a change that caused items being listed as the wrong size.
The second-hand shopping app has updated its size classifications for women's and children's garments failing to inform all users about the change.
Online Platforms Reaction
Numerous buyers and vendors are posting online claiming that product pages now present a modified sizing category compared to what was initially listed because of the remapping.
The company said the new system was more in line with comparable marketplaces.
They have suggested members to review their products and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, causing user dissatisfaction.
Measurement Approach Modifications
Previously, the sizes had both one number and one letter, for instance S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10.
With some products, the measurements have been reclassified - for example a size L was formerly size 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

One content creator, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
Another user, based in Glasgow, said garments she listed featuring size 14 markings were showing in the marketplace as size 20–22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they will likely be quite upset," she explained.
Necessary Adjustments
Another shopper, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated because the modification necessitated personal updates the measurements for "each individual item".
"This situation is especially annoying, since I have chronic health issues and selling on Vinted has been paramount after experiencing income reduction," she stated.
Service Background
The app has more than 100 million shoppers, with 18 million British users.
It has emerged as a preferred choice versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion that an unexpected update to the app has proved unpopular: earlier, Vinted reversed a change regarding delivery choices following member complaints.
