Parents of a child who suffered severe injuries after being hurled from the top floor of London's Tate Modern have revealed their "brave warrior" has accomplished his target of managing to swim, run, and jump again.

This European boy was six years old when he was thrown from a ledge by a teenager, previously 17 years old.

He, who was on holiday with the family in August 2019 when assaulted, endured a 100ft plunge but suffered significant wounds, such as a brain hemorrhage and fractures.

Parents said in an update on a donation platform, they were delighted that he had been able to advance with his swimming, running and jumping before his forthcoming surgery.

"He can't perform as other children his age, certainly, but we cannot portray his movements in another manner than by saying it's jumping, swimming, and running."

"It's different, just for a couple of yards or a very small height, but it's an incredible achievement."

He, who spent months in ICU, has persisted to build mental stamina.

Relatives explained although his recollection capacity were still highly constrained, they were functional and advancing, so he was "acquiring a general knowledge at his own pace, which more and more allows him to be involved with other children."

'Mission Accomplished'

Parents noted: "He's also growing up, and due to his work with the movement specialist, he now allows himself to rest."

"Earlier, to counteract his weakness on the left part, he kept his right part continuously stiff, which resulted in pain."

"Now, our pre-teen (we have to accept reality, he's not a little boy now) has realized that he needs to give himself rests; we need to tell him not as much."

He also reached a long-held objective with dad: "Since we reside a couple of miles from the beach, they had established their end target of having a picnic at the beach and then coming back."

"Subsequent to several step-by-step practice runs, they finally finished their 2.5 hour trip. They came back exhausted but overjoyed. Objective met."

Following a court case at the central criminal court, the adolescent was sentenced of trying to kill and was jailed in two thousand twenty for at least fifteen years.
